Defense and War on Terror

This would include manmade disasters such as weapons of mass destruction ranging from nuclear to biological.

National military complex has to think and act like a multi headed octopus. In that light, there has to be multi facited focus on intelligence apparatus, force strength, hardware, preparedness, readiness via tactical, strategic, economic, diplomatic, ethical, political avenues to improve, enhance and augment national security status. Each of these factors has to be interwoven with all others and must be involved in thinking and acting among all defense industries.

Also, to foster defensive and offensive capabilities, there should be improved combination and co-operation between all US federal intelligence agencies.?

Space Exploration

I start this section with the premise that the US manned space flight program is more than fifty years behind schedule. There were several terrible decisions that brought a range of manned flight programs to a halt. Skylab was allowed to burn up in orbit. Project Apollo was ended. The Shuttle Program was ended. Development and use of post Saturn V heavy lifting bodies was scrubbed.

?To further manned and unmanned flights all short, medium, long distance objectives will be conducted in combination with short, medium and long term missions.

?All unmanned and manned flights will be in combination with landers, rovers and orbiters (both manned and unmanned).

?All missions will be in co-operation with public and private sectors.

?There will be across the board programs to refurbish, resupply, rebuild, restart all NASA facilities and tracking stations, (examples Kennedy (Florida), Goddard (Maryland),, Michaud (Louisiana), JPL (California), Houston (Texas), Huntsville (Alabama), Kwajalein Island (Republic of Marshall Islands), telescopes (optical and radio), Saturn V plus launch vehicles, Apollo, Orion, Shuttle, Ares, Artemis.

?This is a brief and far reaching proposed Mission Time Line: Return to Moon – 3 man crew for one month minimum stay. Launch by 2026. First Americans to Mars – 6 man crew for 1 year plus (365 Earth days) stay. Launch day 2028+. Europa lander, rover, orbiter – launch 2028+. Titan rover, orbiter – launch 2028+. Missions to Europa and Titan to include short and long duration manned missions.

?To facilitate future planned manned flights there will be a push for drastic improvements in propulsion, guidance, environment, communications, and optics.

?On the home front, the federal, state and local governments and private businesses will co-operate to fund, supply and maintain unmanned and manned space exploration to colonize other planets, moons.

?The programs for manned and unmanned flights will focus resources on all items required but especially propulsions, environment, communications, computers, technologies. training, formal education, manpower.

?There will be a new multi facet space launch and retrieval center for manned and unmanned flights to be built and maintained in and around Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This facility to be funded with co-operation between federal and state governments and private businesses across the country.
