The ventilator is providing 40 cm of PIP and 20 cm of PEEP and 1 liter of tidal volume at up to to 28 BPM. Here is a video of the system working at typical pressures needed for the Covid-19 patient. video
Next steps are to update the software, add the safety valve and the oxygen system. We need to make sure the valves are safe in the oxygen environment. We also need to figure out an enclosure so it doesn't look so scary and develop a validation and test procedure.
Preliminary requirements:
PIP 10-40 cm (tested to 40)
PEEP 5-15 cm (tested to 20)
Flowrate 30 lpm inhale, 250 lpm exhale during cough.
Tidal volume .2-1 liter (tested to 1 liter)
BPM 6-30
Oxygen 21-100%

Steve, Always great to see what you're working on; especially driving for a timely need! Let me know if I can help.
Good work. Can one central system provide support to 20 outlets/patients. Some doctors are using one ventilator for 8 patients with less than $100 modification. REPLY
