The Concept of Power Team

Unlocking the power of Business Networking is no secret to many, as it serves as a valuable marketing tool for connecting with potential referral sources.

The key lies not only in the frequency of our networking efforts, but also in the consistency of networking with the same contacts over time.

I have a dream, to create Velocity of Money within each Apollo Group through the concept of "Power Team".

So, what exactly is a "Power Team"?

Essentially, it's a collective of professionals and businesses with complementary expertise, all targeting the same market without conflicting interests.

My own journey in Business Networking taught me this lesson the hard way.

After struggling to receive referrals for a year and a half, I finally saw a breakthrough between 2006 - 2007 when I took the initiative to build my own Power Team.

The results were remarkable, with my business going from zero referrals to generating cumulative transactions of RM10 million over the next 8 years - a significant achievement for a small enterprise like mine.

In the realm of networking, committing to showing up for yourself can lead to unexpected support from others. After all, people prefer to do business with those they like and trust.

When we recommend someone, we're essentially staking our reputation on their behalf.

By actively participating and engaging in networking, we create a culture of reciprocity where giving and receiving go hand in hand.
