CompTIA ChannelCon 2017 Though the eyes of an IT Solution Provider

When defining my experience, at ChannelCon17, I can honestly say, “I got better, faster, stronger, and more, dedicated to the Information Technology industry. From, an industry at a gland stand point, it is easy to see how saturated the Information Technology market is. However, I was completely surprised to see all the various components (i.e. students, vendors, partners, and media), acting as a eco system, to perpetuate industry growth, diversity and education.
From a conceptual stand point, CompTIA ChannelCon 2017 can be easily defined with this quote. “The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish about anything, if you’re willing to pay the price.” Vince Lombardi”
From this statement, we can extrapolate the experience, and define ChannelCon17, for the solution provider, as “hard work."
Through strategic planning, we were encouraged over the last three days to change the way we think. Historically, inclusion, rather than, diversity was the way of doing things. Never the less, I found it very encouraging to share my thoughts, in this environment. In my opinion, by creating supportive environments like this, we are diversifying the industry. Diversity awareness, coupled with new technologies like, IoT and AI, are creating, enormous opportunities, for the solution provider. Therefore, having a diversified work force, will become the difference, between competing in the market place, compared to dominating your vertical. For instance, when trying to predict the future of the Information technology industry, all we should do is think about this statement. “It is a paradox that in our time of drastic rapid change, when the future is in our midst devouring the present before our eyes, we have never been less certain about what is ahead of us.” Eric Hoffer
When reviewing my notes, from the conference, there was one thing that stood out to me, and it was, uncertainty. Uncertainty, within the community was driving the questions. However, in my opinion, the solution providers, who I spoke with, were certain about the future of the industry. For them, it was the uncertainty, of how to capitalize on the enormous amounts of opportunities, being created, from rapid changes in our industry. From a personal stand point, I was most encouraged by the future leaders of our industry. Every student, I spoke with, gave me the impression, that they, truly understood, the process of continually learning, I could literally see, value, being added, to the industry, after every open forum. Because of this, I feel socially obligated to conclude with this.
“The brain is a fabulous mechanism, about the size of a half of grapefruit, it is capable of recording eight hundred memories per second, for seventy-five years, without exhausting itself. It is the storehouse for between ten billion and one hundred billion pieces of information. Even the most powerful computers in the world have memories that hold only a few million items of accessible information. The human brain retains everything it takes in and never forgets anything; even though we don’t recall all the information received, everything is on permanent fil in our brain”. Glenn Ekeren
The mind is one of God’s most amazing gifs to man. I truly believe that CompTIA ChannelCon 2017 was a hug opportunity, to expand our brains by learning, connecting, and diversifying our way of thinking.
