Nutanix ??heart Advancing Women in Technology Scholarship Program

Nutanix believes in the power of diversity and realizes that a key component to driving innovation is cultivating diverse teams. Despite increased demand for a technology-trained workforce, women still remain underrepresented.

Nutanix launched the Advancing Women in Technology Scholarship program in 2018 to assist future IT leaders in pursuing and completing their educational aspirations. They are giving up to ten scholarships to students from the United States, India, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and Mexico who wish to utilize their enthusiasm for technology while furthering women in the sector to make a positive impact on the industry and the globe.

In India, as many as four scholarships, up to $2000 each, will be awarded to apply towards tuition and fees.

Eligibility Criteria?

• Full-time undergraduate or graduate students during the 2023–24 school year*.
• Pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or software engineering
• Attending school in the US, India, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, UK, France, Australia, and Mexico
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in countries that utilize GPA scoring (Transcripts required when applying)
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated record of co-curricular activity and community service
• Note — Nutanix employees and their immediate family members are not eligible for these scholarships. Current Nutanix interns do not qualify for these scholarships. This scholarship program is open to all applicants regardless of gender identity.

Application Process??

Step 1: Basic Details

The application process starts with filling out an application form, which includes Applicant Demographics, College/University Details, and Supporting Documents i.e. a College/University Transcript.

Step 2: Essay

After filling out these details, the aspiring candidates are supposed to write an essay with a word limit of 500.

Question — Why did you choose to get a degree in technology and what do you plan to do with your education? How have your past experiences inspired you? How will this scholarship help you in your efforts to advance women in technology?

Step 3: Detailed Resume

As a next step, the candidates are required to fill out their resume details including all the internships or professional work experiences, community services, extra-curricular activities, honors, and awards.

Points to keep in mind!??

• In addition to a good academic record or professional experience, I believe the extra-curricular and volunteering activities are more impressive to Nutanix.
• Make sure you highlight your social responsibilities or any informal activities that you have done to support the society and community in general.
• No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. So, don’t consider any activity or contribution as small, and do not self-reject anything before adding it to the resume section.
• Also, provide a detailed description of each activity you have added, validating your contribution.
• Add numbers or facts on the impact you created through each activity.

Step 4: Financial Aspect

At last, the students are asked about the financial need of the candidates as to why they would like to be considered based on financial need. Be honest when you write this answer as the financial aspect has to be supported with some details of your family’s income.

The Nutanix Advancing Women in Technology scholarship is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated efforts of advancing women in technology and whose efforts will continue during and after their education.

• Make sure your essay exemplifies your contribution towards women in technology or talk about what future plans you have with respect to advancing women in tech.
• Learn about the specific objectives and goals of the Nutanix Women in Technology Scholarship. This understanding will enable you to align your application with the scholarship’s mission and values.
