PoliMi Sailing Team won the SuMoth Challenge with their prototype Febe
The Foiling SuMoth Challenge of this year took place in Malcesine, on the Garda lake, and saw the success of the sailing team of PoliMi, which managed to reach 1st place in the Fleet Race.
This event was born as part of the Foiling Week? and it aims to bring together university students in a competition that unites both sailing innovation and sustainability. This year, PoliMi Sailing Team gained the upper hand on its rivals, facing lots of rain and a lack of wind, thanks to Febe, the prototype realized by more than 50 students from the 意大利米兰理工大学 .

The most important space-related event is coming to Milan
In less than 100 days, Milan will become the world capital city of space exploration, with more than 10000 experts, scientists, engineers and of course astronauts flocking in town to share their expertise.
The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is the most important international conference related to space industry and exploration. This edition of the event will be organized by the International Astronautical Federation and Associazione Italiana di Aeronautica e Astronautica (A.I.D.A.A.), by Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and Leonardo .
IAC 2024 will host 150 international expositors and 4000 speakers and experts from 96 countries.

Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna will open a Luxury Yacht Engineering course
Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna has announced that it will launch a degree in its Forlì campus. This new degree will be focused on the engineering of luxury yachts. The courses will be started under the guide of a partnership between the university and several private companies that will provide funding and expertise.
Among the most important subjects, there will be fluid dynamics, composites materials, naval implants, computer-aided yacht design and manufacturing 4.0. A great focus will be put on the use of digital tools and the innovative possibilities opened by the process automatization.

Sea-Doo Sport and Leisure will provide watercrafts for the 2024 Olympics
During large sporting events, safety is always the number one priority. For this reason, during Paris Olympics of this summer, watercraft company Sea-Doo will be providing its watercraft along with first aid tools to watch over the participants in the Seine.
A dozen watercrafts and a hundred lifeguards will be keeping their eyes on all aquatic competitions, making sure that every athlete will be safe during the event.
Flexiteek International opens its new plant
Flexiteek International has moved its production in a new, advanced plant in Fagersta, Sweden. After more than 20 years in its original plant, it was time to change and find a new base of operations that could meet the ever growing demands of the company.
Flexiteek is the producer of one of the most innovative materials, which has been in production since the year 2000. We are talking about a type of synthetic teak, used for the deck of boats, wether small ships or superyachts.
By moving production in Fagersta, the company will be able to produce a larger quantity on a global scale, supporting other plants belonging to Flexiteek, located both in the UK and in Poland.
