Construction precautions:

- Material inspection: Check the material quality certification documents, check whether

the mesh core is deformed or broken, and whether the geotextile has damage or holes,

etc. It is strictly forbidden to use unqualified materials.

- Climate conditions: Avoid construction in severe weather such as heavy rain and strong

winds. In low temperatures, insulation measures should be taken to prevent the material

from cracking.

Key points of each construction link:

- Clean up the construction area: remove debris, garbage, and sharp objects, level the

ground mechanically or manually, and compact or reinforce the soft foundation.

- Laying the drainage net: Determine the laying direction according to the drainage design

requirements, unfold from one end to the other, avoid twisting and wrinkles, and ensure

close fit with the base.

- Overlap of the drainage net: Use overlap along the direction of water flow, with an

overlap width of not less than 200mm, fix the mesh core with wire or U-shaped nails or

cable ties, and sew the geotextile with a hot air welding gun or a geotextile sewing

machine to ensure that the connection is firm and sealed.

- Overlapping of drainage net and drainage pipe: The connection between drainage net

and pipe should be tightly wrapped and fixed with wire, clamp, etc., and the connection

should be sealed and waterproofed.

- Fixing of drainage net: Use U-shaped nails, expansion bolts, etc. to fix, with a spacing of

300-500mm, and encrypt the fixation at corners, overlaps, etc. to ensure the stability of

drainage net.

- Testing of drainage effect: During the construction process, local water test can be

carried out to check whether the drainage channel is unobstructed. After completion, the

overall water sprinkling or water injection test is carried out to measure the drainage time,

flow rate, etc. to evaluate the drainage effect.

Precautions for different engineering applications:

- Landfill: Before laying, the base of the landfill should be treated for seepage prevention.

The laying of drainage net should be effectively connected with the leachate collection

system to prevent corrosion of garbage leachate. Regular inspection and maintenance

should be carried out, and damage should be repaired or replaced in time.

- Slope drainage: Select materials of appropriate specifications according to the slope and

length, lay from the top to the bottom of the slope, fix firmly, set up anti-slip steps or

retaining walls to prevent the drainage net from sliding down, and protect the slope

surface.

- Roof drainage: Before laying, ensure that the roof base is flat, clean and dry, connect it

well with the roof waterproof layer to avoid damaging the waterproof layer, do a good job

of node treatment, and reasonably set a filter layer at the drain outlet.
