About Components shortage

From 2019,due to the substantial increase in demand for new energy vehicles, coupled with the impact of the epidemic, the production capacity of automotive electronic components cannot meet demand in the short term,resulting in a shortage of electronic components, at the same time, it has also led to an increase in the price of automotive components,

But recently when I was talking to my friends , what is the root cause of the shortage of electronic components and rising prices?

Whether the supplier deliberately hoarded a large number of goods, and then less shipping, as a result, the price of electronic components has risen sharply? Is there a better solution?

About this question ,I think that the root cause of the problem still needs to be solved from the chip factory ,only chip makers' capacity is addressed ,capable of mass production of chips,satisfy customer's request , to solve the problem completely，only so , no one dares to take the risk of hoarding a lot of goods ;
