The nozzle directs shielding gas, such as argon or nitrogen, to the welding zone. This helps prevent oxidation, stabilizes the arc, and improves weld quality. Some laser heads have coaxial or side nozzles to optimize gas flow.

In some applications, an automatic wire feeder is integrated into the welding head. This is used for filler welding processes, where additional material is needed to strengthen the joint.

## 7. Cooling System

Laser welding heads generate significant heat, so they require an effective cooling system, typically using water or air cooling, to prevent overheating and ensure stable performance.

Modern laser welding heads often include sensors or cameras for real-time monitoring and process control. These help detect joint position, weld quality, and deviations, ensuring precise and consistent results.
