Not Complicating Things

We may realize that we are the ones complicating things, learn to simplify, and see solutions. Often, we don't recognize that we are the ones putting ourselves in a state of stress. However, when we question the causes, we can easily see that most of the situations we face are due to our own faulty interpretations. One of the key principles of cognitive therapy says, "Your emotions are often more related to how you think about things than what's actually happening in your life." With some practice and boundaries, you'll realize how much things can be simplified and make your life healthier. Of course, to do this, you need to set limits and view things from a third-person perspective, as looking too closely may be another reason why things seem complicated. In fact, you might be procrastinating because you think you can’t overcome the complexity. But like everything else, there’s a solution to breaking this mindset.

As a solution, it’s helpful to write everything down in its most complex form (you're free to make it as complicated as you want), then go back and remove the exaggerated or unnecessary words. I suggest you do this yourself, as you're the one perceiving this complexity, and having an AI or friend do it faster won’t make a difference since you're not the one carrying out the task. It’s up to you to question and take on this responsibility. Returning to the idea of boundaries, I always want to stress the danger of constantly being in "work mode." Essentially, anything that restricts an individual's needs and actions can be harmful to cognitive health. After a long period like this, you might find yourself constantly thinking about work and forgetting the importance of boundaries. So, why does your brain keep reminding you of work-related things when you've forgotten these crucial boundaries? The brain does this because you haven't turned your thoughts into a concrete plan. Its job is to remind you of unresolved thoughts and take them seriously, as if it's still protecting you from dangers in nature.

Therefore, especially with work-related thoughts, putting them in writing will clear up space in your mind, allowing you to focus on other thoughts and free yourself.
