Compassion instead of criminalization

How one community built a system for solving homelessness with few resources and great success

By now, you’ve heard the story of Grants Pass, Oregon, the town at the center of a recent Supreme Court ruling that allows cities to criminalize homelessness.

Fremont County, Colorado, responds to homelessness with compassion —?and solutions.

“Everybody belongs, and there’s room for all of us,” said Nikki Reynolds, former Recovery Support Care Manager at Solvista Health.

Here’s the story of how one man escaped chronic homelessness with the help of his community.
