Dear Connections,
I'm excited to announce the launch of The Compassion Collective, a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to providing low-cost, accessible counselling services to individuals aged 16 and over in the Aire and Worth Valley area. The mission is to create a mentally healthier and more resilient community by removing barriers to mental health support.
Vision:
The Compassion Collective aims to embed high-quality, personalised counselling services within local communities, fostering a sense of belonging, understanding, and empowerment among those we serve. I believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Key Objectives:
Accessibility and Inclusivity: Establish a network of local counselling venues in community centers, GP surgeries, and other accessible locations to minimize travel barriers.
Community Engagement and Cultural Sensitivity: Match clients with counsellors familiar with local challenges to ensure culturally informed care.
Quality of Care and Professional Development: Deliver high-quality counselling while contributing to the development of future mental health professionals.
Comprehensive Impact Measurement: Implement robust methods for measuring service impact and ensuring continuous improvement.
