Are You A Discouraged Network Marketer?

No shame there. Not even a surprise. We all get discouraged at times. Discouragement has been a part of our human experience since before recorded history.

Yesterday, our Pastor gave an example of discouragement from about 500 BCE. Pastor explained the causes and how to fix them. His examples were about spiritual problems, but most of what he said also applies directly to Network Marketing.

The story is told by an obscure prophet named Haggai.

About 587 BCE, the Babylonians destroyed the city of Jerusalem. They leveled the place. They tore down the city walls. They burned the magnificent Temple that King Solomon had built 500 years earlier. They carried off everything worth anything, including the best and brightest young people.

No stones were left standing. No wooden building left unburned. Total devastation.

50 years later, the Babylonians allowed some of the people to return. The first thing they did was begin to rebuild their Temple. A few of the old people remembered the first Temple. This new one was SO pitiful those older folks talked the rest of the people into giving up.

They Ran Straight Into The Two Major Causes Of Discouragement

First, they compared their project to the earlier Temple. Solomon had spent the equivalent of many millions of dollars on it. He’d imported the finest woods and stones for its construction. He had actually covered every surface with gold, silver, and gem stones.

These people had no money and no materials, yet they were comparing their temple to Solomon’s.

So they quit. They didn’t even try to continue for nearly 20 years.

JUST KEEP WORKING.

You won’t be as successful as someone much more experienced. We all know that with our heads, but it’s harder to accept with our hearts. Don’t compare your business to anyone else’s. Just keep working. And -

You won’t be discouraged by false comparisons. You won’t lack results to discourage you, either. Just keep working until good things begin to happen. Never Quit!

Now, a thing you might want to do is take a look at HOW you are working. Are you marketing using the latest tools? Are you getting the best result for your efforts?
