COMPARISON
COMPARISON is important for decision-making. If choosing between options, determine what is most important and compare between expected results for the most important outcomes. If that is not straightforward, consider the primary challenges you will deal with following each option, and compare them for which you would rather live with. “Sometimes you choose your problems, not your solutions”
That’s my simple GUIDANCE when I am asked for a SUGGESTION to help someone facing difficult choices, JUST IN CASE you were wondering.
But be careful how, when, and why you consider COMPARISON. We overestimate the importance of nearly everything. William James said “The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook”
The real contest is always between what you've done and what you're capable of doing. You measure yourself against yourself and nobody else. --Geoffrey Gaberino, Olympic gold medalist
