ISO is an international organization that works to provide standardization across different dimensions of business so a sustainable framework is established. ISO provides thousands of standards but the most popular ones are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. These three cover QEHS i.e. Quality, Environment and Health-safety and are collectively called Integrated Management System IMS which are:
·????????ISO 9001: Quality Management System
·????????ISO 14001: Environment Management System
·????????ISO 45001: Health and Safety Management System
On the other hand, Toyota Production System has developed an alternative regime of standards for its plants and vendors called PMRs (Plant Management Requirements) which include Quality, Environment and Health-safety and in addition to that also covers standardization of maintenance and cost control system separately. The implementation on these PMRs is called Jiritsuka i.e. achieving self-reliance through standardization. Annual audits of PMRs require each partner factory to step up the game and improve their Jiritsuka levels by benchmarking plants with higher levels of Jiritsuka. Some prominent PMRs are:
·????????Quality PMRs
·????????Environment PMRs
·????????Health and Safety PMRs
·????????Cost PMRs
·????????Maintenance PMRs
The core difference between ISO and PMR is on the level of details. Jiritsuka's ranking system also adds a competitive spirit to it where plants and departments tend to outdo each other. The journey from ISO to an aggressive Jirtisuka system is through kaizen and commitement so the utility of standardization is actually achieved.

2 年Not necessarily IMS consists of only 3 most use management systems. PMR is.very specific.automotive related system and set of KPIs.
