This study compared non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques for treating major depressive disorder (MDD) in older patients. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) showed the highest efficacy and cognitive benefits, followed by transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and theta burst stimulation (TBS). Findings suggest NIBS, especially rTMS and TBS, as promising options.
