As an annual exercise, most organizations revisit their strategies, budgets and priorities for the following year. Conclaves and strategy events are organized with leadership tiers to envision implementing strategies, including employee goal setting. These exercises are indeed crucial steps, but I also recommend integrating the goal-setting exercise beyond budgets and KPIs with the engagement of employees by encouraging them to set their work-centric personal, professional, and work enhancement goals. This must be self-driven with limited involvement from the company. To achieve a holistic purpose for organizations to reach a sustainable mode, individual goal alignments are necessary; individuals must review this quintessential to accomplish more impactful results in their personal lives and master the professional attributes that help improve their work performance.?

In context to individual goal alignment, employees must consider the following factors to introspect on their current standing on areas of their Professional-Personal Development.?

?#Balance work and personal life to establish a healthy work-life balance by setting boundaries, scheduling personal activities, and prioritizing time for family, friends, and hobbies.

#Develop communication skills to power effective workplace communication to help enhance interpersonal relationships and work performance.

?#Improving the art of delegating tasks and responsibilities wherever needed to ensure that self and the team members can reduce their workload and develop effective time management skills by prioritizing tasks, setting clear goals, and utilizing productivity techniques such as time blocking. In fact, this is one of the significant reasons confronting self and companies on productivity and employees' woes. Not all is company culture driven; part of this is due to individuals' inability to cope with better work organization.

#Realizing the importance of self-care and well-being, including exercise, meditation, or hobbies to adapt to self-awareness and discipline on physical and mental health issues.
