The Company We Keep
Today is a proud day for me and our company, QA Consultants. Among the amazing women and men we have working at QAC, I am proud to say that we have three outstanding experts in the field of software quality assurance all actively engaged at QA Consultants.
Gabby Szasz, Scott Moore, and Linda Hayes are all incredible in their own right with tremendous industry reputations, and all three are individuals I have looked up to in my career. But to call these three experts coworkers, is an honor for me. This trifecta represents three entirely different aspects of what we do at QA Consultants, and collectively is representative of exactly what we do. We solve hard QA challenges. We bring the right experts to bear. We work hard, we work efficiently, and are never satisfied.
Gabby Szasz joined us from her storied career in Banking and Financial services. I have admired Gabby for many years having watched her career closely. She has achieved what represents to many, the highest level anyone in our industry can reach – Chief Quality Officer (and that, of the largest bank in the country!). Having spent most of her QA career on the other side of the desk, she brings to QAC an amazing understanding of what it will take to establish QA contracts of the future. Her expertise in outcome based pricing for QA engagements will continue to change the nature of what is expected of QA service vendors and we are excited to lead the way here. Her expertise in QA is only exceeded by her dedication to blazing a trail for women in technology. I cannot wait for her upcoming symposium with QA Financial on this! As Gabby continues to lead our QA Advisory services, one area that is of particular interest is the approach she is taking in how to enable Digital (and QA transformation) while increasing diversity in IT and growing the local economy.
Scott Moore is, to most who follow our industry, one of the top performance engineers and QA entrepreneurs in the country. To me, he is a friend who I enjoy discussions that are equal part BBQ and performance\tech discussions. (Sometimes more one than the other!!). One of the greatest aspects of working with Scott is how complete his offering is. One could argue that performance engineering is one of the more technical, challenging, and expensive aspects of QA. It requires active participation from all parts of an IT organization. Scott makes this process efficient and inclusive. Our customers love how he is able to zero in on complex technical challenges, make them digestible, and create performance solutions that exceed expectations, not budgets. In fact, one of the best things I have learned from Scott is how performance engineering helps customers save more than the cost of testing through compute cost reduction alone.
Linda Hayes is indirectly responsible for my career in QA. Her early work to create the industry we now know as test automation essentially created the pathway for me and many others. Had she not founded AutoTester (and Worksoft thereafter) when she did, the industry would look a lot different than it does today. I am thankful to her for that. But even more than the reasons I have long admired her contributions to the QA community is her unending passion for her work. She just loves QA and automated testing! She continues help customers with her deep knowledge of automation, SAP, and QA. It is truly an honor to have her on our team and the work she is doing is nothing short of phenomenal. Her career has been enviable.
It is truly a great day for us at QAC to complement our deep bench of talent with these individuals who have all accomplished so much individually. They are such great quality minds. I am proud and thankful to QA Consultants that we can continue to attract customers with significant QA challenges and the teams who will rise to those challenges when needed. We are passionate about the craft of quality and our investment in it. We will continue to keep great great company in both our customers and our consultants.
