Lucky Mgayi a 28 year old gentleman, born on the 29th? November 1993, in a small village called Moloto in Mpumalanga Province. Lucky completed his matric at Ndzundza Mabhoko secondary school. He and his 4 siblings were raised by a single mother who was unemployed and she collected and recycled cans and bottles to ensure her family survived. The financial situation was tough for them all. His desire was to study and get a qualification after matriculating but due to their financial situation at home, he had to come to Johannesburg and look for a job.

In 2019 he found his first job at Partquip where he is currently one of the general worker’s in our warehouse. His responsibilities include receiving products, preparing orders, sorting, placing, and organizing items, taking inventory, and upholding all safety standards. Safety has always been one of his biggest priorities in the workplace and his personal life.

“I gained a lot of experience in the warehouse, as a young man with potential I saw an opportunity to grow and I decided to study for a course related to what my company specialises in. Partquip has offered me the opportunity to study further. I am grateful for the support and motivation I receive from the business during my studies, now I am doing my second year of Diploma in Logistics and Supplier Chain Management.? I am looking forward to growing with Partquip as my studies have provided me with great insight for a future career in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.“?

“Ending an unhealthy behaviour or creating a new, exciting one is all about taking responsibility for our lives. Finding the motivation to do so isn't necessarily easy, but it is always possible. You can stay motivated by writing down your goals, sticking to your schedule and reminding yourself of what led you to set your goal in the first place.“? – Lucky Mgayi
