Company Designation vs Resume Job Tittle - Day 2
My Company designation is different ?. My actual project role is different ? ??
Yes. Perfectly fine. In many large companies titles are generic, e.g., Software Engineering Manager, but your real work is Software Test Manager. In this case you can even choose something like Presales Engineer. In case anyone asks you can say that the company had weird titles.
Generally speaking, it won’t be a huge problem as long as your job responsibilities are really what you claim they are. So it’s not unusual for somebody to have a title that really doesn’t match their true job function. But if you were to put something like Vice President when you weren’t remotely on the job, then you have a big problem!
On a resume, or even your LinkedIn profile it is fine. When you are filling out an application, use the title you were given in relieving order and from your full and final settlement letter.
The difference is in the fact that an application is a legal document. Your resume is your marketing material and as long as the title you use accurately describes what you do, it can often make sense. Many companies use non standard titles that can be confusing to outsiders.
A resume is not meant to be a detailed exact summary of all the positions you've held during your career. Instead,?a resume is intended to demonstrate your worthiness for consideration of filling a specific job opening. However,?how?your resume does this is of less importance than the notion that it?actually does?demonstrate your capabilities.

The above are corporate designations that reflect in your relieving order and the complete and final settlement. However, I have seen a lot of people in the Assistant System Engineer designation in each project, their role depends on their skill set.

So don't worry.
it's okay to alter your previous job title in your CV or resume if the title that you want to use is a more accurate reflection of what you actually did.
The only point is if you are able to prove yourself in the interview rounds your strong technological learning is more than enough.
So ultimately changing your job title gives you a competitive advantage and it's a more accurate representation of the work you did.
If you have different career aspirations, ensure you have them through your in-depth learning.
you are responsible for steering your career as no-one else is going to do it for you. If this change opens up job opportunities that you would like to explore, then you should move forward with it.
Finally, the moral of this story is that you want your resume to be accurate from your perspective, that it always demonstrates what you're capable of. If an employer is enjoying the benefits of you wearing more than one hat then you should also be allowed to reap those same benefits by claiming that you have and are able to perform those duties.
Good luck
