Community Service & Volunteering is Real Work!

Martin Luther King Jr., Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community? “Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love.”

Family, it will get worse if we don’t act NOW! The “safety net” is about to move once more BUT, after we FIGHT, there is MORE we can do to make a comeback!

Below is from My Message, Speaking Truth to Power. The attachments (See Experience) reflect my 23 years in Texas with our underserved communities, the setbacks, the opportunities, and the outcomes.

It's About Time, The Nexus, Baylor College Family Medicine, Dr. Stephen Pierrel, December 14, 2005 Carolyn, Dr. Pierrel was my Friend too. In the Fall of 2005, I watched from across the aisle as he counseled your early Focused Care team and privately I asked him to lead me. Like my son Steve, Dr. Pierrel is Forever for me.

This is Fabulous ???? You are connecting the dots for Human Services in a unique way . The mention of Dr. Stephen Perrill pulled me to open LinkedIn, he was truly a Blessing ?? I am on the Board of Gulf Coast Community Services, and I was excited that you had them on your List. Compassionate Human Services is still very much needed and you are on cutting edge of developing the model. Thanks for Sharing ??
