Community Music School | The East Side
The growth in Flagstaff shows, even on the East side! Fourth Street now has two crosswalks equipped with flashing lights (when the pedestrian chooses to push the button, that is) and safety barriers. Flagstaff Farmers Market evolved with the changing economy, and continues to provide locally grown, quality produce and other deals on necessity pantry items and so forth. We enjoy music from our community radio station on KSZN Radio Sunnyside 101.5 FM located in the community Market of Dreams on 4th St. and 7th Ave.
Your community music school is also located on that corner; Flagstaff School of Music has been locally owned and operated by Terry Alan and his wife Bonnie Dumdei. Serving Sunnyside, greater Flagstaff and northern Arizona for over 8 years, Flagstaff School of Music is always active in our community at festivals, plus other local events.
Private instruction is the main service provided at FSM, with a group guitar program for kids between ages 6 and 9. The music school’s purpose is to provide a quality music education, and therefore has very little retail on hand. The owners feel its purpose is also to build a strong relationship among the art community by supporting and volunteering at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy and Orchestra Northern Arizona.
In support of local musicians and artists they have created a monthly event for the community, local musicians and artists. The EastSide Show is an art market that has live music on the East side of Flagstaff, Arizona. This twist of an art walk is found at White Dove Coffee and Flagstaff School of Music on the corner of 4th Street and 7th Ave. The EastSide Show is for local musicians to perform within a cozy atmosphere and intimate crowd and artists to sell their craft, and for all to grow their networks.
