Community Matters

We are constantly amazed by our team – whose energy, passion, and dedication to our customers and the communities we serve always reflect our values!

As we enter Q2, we wanted to take some time to reflect on all we’ve already done to give back in 2024 and what is on the horizon.

In Q1, DCO chose to support the American Heart Association as our first quarterly give-back initiative of the year. Throughout February, our team donated funds, wore red, and attended events to support this important cause. In March, there were several causes that DCO invested in, including:

  • DCO attended St Mary’s Annual Gala that honored Barbra Dooley and benefitted Cardiac Services at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
  • DCO sponsored this year’s Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) event at Project ReNeWal, which is a domestic violence intervention program changing lives in Rockdale, Newton, and Walton counties.
  • DCO co-sponsored the annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Happy Hour to focus on inclusive leadership. Our team joined several partners in a supply drive benefiting teachers at a local school.
  • Jeffrey Thomas partnered with DPR and DCO sponsored the Sandy Plains Blaze softball team in Cobb County for the season.

Q2 has just kicked off, but plans are already in the works for giving back in April and May.

  • Steven Przyborski, Grant Petruzzelli, Arman Bryant, Lucy Lee, Taylor Hicks and friends from Tarkett & Tilebar partnered with Baston-Cook to attend their annual charity sporting clays event – Clays for a Cause – that benefits the Montgomery Cancer Center, Driving Hope Mobil Health Clinic, and Must Ministries.
  • DCO sponsored JE Dunn’s annual Hammer Down Race on April 13 in Nashville. This event benefits Our Kids, a nonprofit that provides medical evaluations and crisis counseling in response to concerns of child sexual abuse.
  • Jeffrey Thomas and other DCO team members are partnering with Integra Construction to attend the Auburn BSCI Golf Benefit that supports the McWhorter School of Building Science and its students.
  • The DCO Team is attending the 25th Annual Classic Spring Golf Tournament for Gwinnett County Public Schools that benefits Relay for Life.

We are committed to continuing to support the communities in which we live and work in Q3 and beyond. Thank you to our amazing team. We are so proud of the DCO family!
