Community Ops Manager ?? ? Working with Web3 and Open Source communities to scale DevRel strategies ? Social Impact + Tech
Hello! Welcome to this month’s Community Chic Newsletter; a monthly newsletter for DevRels, Community Managers and Tech enthusiasts. Each month, I send you a detailed letter sharing community tips, job opportunities in the community space and great content from around the internet.
Happy August community folks,
How’s the weather? I do hope you are all doing well.
It has been a little quiet from my end, but I am genuinely grateful for every one of you here – all 2,000 of you! Thank you for subscribing and joining me on this inspiring journey of learning and sharing on the go.
Now, let's dive into the heart of this letter.
…
When I first started my career in community management 3 years ago, I'll admit there was so much I didn't know. I stumbled upon community management while volunteering at She Code Africa, back when I was a front-end web developer. At that time, I had no idea about the various communities to join, newsletters to read, or even who the prominent figures were in the community space. I was essentially...winging it.
But a few months later, after deciding to fully immerse myself in community management, I took it upon myself to learn, explore, and create a pathway for my growth. Over the years, I've been consistently reading, taking courses, networking, and learning – and let me tell you, I'm far from being done!
I owe a debt of gratitude to the countless individuals in the community space who selflessly shared their knowledge and time, creating valuable resources and nurturing communities that I, too, benefited from. That's why I believe in paying it forward, and today, I'm excited to share something special with all of you.
