Community For Justice

Years ago I wrote an article about a "Beautification Project" along the Pink Line, it is still going on today, striving to improve their community for good, and taking place in the Lawndale area, in Chicago #IL this year. A special non-profit group has always strived to help their community CUARC or Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center founded by Dianna Long https://www.dhirubhai.net/in/dianna-c-long-55461b28/ . Whether to help children through art at their studio, helping seniors by visiting nursing homes, or holding community gardening gatherings outside, they also connect with the community by holding events periodically as well. This organization is involved in a special event for positive social change, in September. Stop by this FREE event taking place on September 16th, 2023 from 1pm - 6pm at the Kedzie Pink Line (corner of 21st and S. Kedzie) in Chicago. There will be many special guest appearances to look forward to: Peruvian Dance Troupe, Blaq Ice (pictured above), 64th St. Drummers, and Fontenelle Art. See how those working towards social issues, for positive change, plan on changing communities for the better.
