Community Impact Opportunity
Many of you may not be aware but I currently volunteer as Board Secretary for NFP 'Trees In Newcastle' - https://lnkd.in/gqzWAfW.
We're in the middle of moving to our new site at Belmont Wetlands State Park but to fulfil this mission we're reaching out to individuals and businesses through a crowd funding campaign. Undertaking such a venture can be a costly exercise with a significant amount of project management, consultation, council negotiations and applications and then comes the infrastructure costs such as security fencing, service connections, buildings and the actual move!
Unlike some other crowd funding campaigns, this one isn’t offering “perks”. The perk will be that Trees In Newcastle continues running great programs to benefit our community – school education programs, upskilling Landcare volunteers and TAFE students, and revegetating degraded sites throughout the Hunter through community plantings and professional bush regeneration works. Once we’ve relocated and settled back in, you’ll definitely be invited to the party!
It's an exciting venture for us but we can't do it alone. So if you believe in giving back to your community and making a positive impact, please head to https://lnkd.in/g2BvTKR to contribute to the ongoing environmental rehabilitation and overall health in the region. As a registered charity with tax-deductible (DGR) status, all donations to the campaign will be issued with a receipt for tax purposes.
A big thank you in advance.
