Communication is key

Since the dawn of civilization, people have yearned to share their stories and knowledge with the world. Hunter-gatherers painted their tales on cave walls, Egyptians created hieroglyphics to record their traditions and way of life, and in modern times, emoji-based texting has become one of the most popular and common forms of communication amongst the youth.

If history has taught us anything, it’s that pictures are universal and transcends spoken language and words. Not everyone can read or write, but everyone instantly understands pictograms, whether it’s a no-smoking sign or a public toilet sign.

The old adage says that you have to crawl before you can walk, and in terms of communication, this means that you have to draw before you can write!
