So I approached a man walking a dog. I asked for directions. This is what he said:?

"Go 2 miles. You'll pass the library and a gas station. At the light, there's a Walgreens. Turn left onto Broadway. Take Broadway about half a mile. There are signs for the highway on the right. Bear right and then stay left towards Highway 10."

The different landmarks helped get me back on track.??

Are you specific in the way you communicate??

Our brains are wired to be specific. This includes our self-talk.?

For example, if you think: “I want to reach more people and expand my network," how exactly will you do that??

You could find three podcast hosts in your niche who may want to interview you. That's specific. Or you could go to more networking events.

If you say, “I want more money,” and you find a dime on the floor in the mall, you've got more money.?

But, that's not really what you wanted. You wanted more than just a cruddy 10 cents.?

That's why you've gotta think big and bold. And in detail.?

When we write clear goals, we become laser-focused and move toward our target.?

Break it down step-by-step. You'll know exactly what to do.?

And you'll notice signs along the way that you're on the right path.

Like the man who gave me directions.?

Where are you going? What's your specific target and how will you get there???

Your internal communication may be blocking your success.??

So, I encourage you to be super-clear on what you want. See yourself in a mental movie. You are the producer, director, writer, and star.?

Write down what you want in vivid detail. Imagine yourself moving through the day as if it has already happened.

Don't worry about HOW this is going to happen. Focus on the WOW and feel the emotion of your dream coming to fruition.?

You'll get different results when you see, write, feel, and believe it.??
