Communicating Science: now available as a free electronic resource

In 2014, I published Communicating Science, an introductory guide for conveying scientific information to academic and public audiences. At the time, it was the only resource of its kind. Communicating Science is used at several institutions, and instructors consistently comment that it is an excellent resource. 

Based on instructor feedback, Chapter 3 (Fundamentals of learning) and Chapter 4 (Research methodology) were added and expanded to make Communicating Science a comprehensive resource suitable for students throughout their undergraduate career. The second edition was published in 2016. And since many current undergraduate programs lack a communication component, Communicating Science is also being recommended to incoming graduate students.
