When your employees feel like they trust you and that you trust them, they'll put in their absolute best effort for the organization. It can be hard to leave your team to do their work on their own without micromanaging, however, it's necessary to build trust with your team. They must be willing to feel comfortable and enjoy working in order to produce. If you have to micromanage, it just means that you aren't the best leader and will need to improve as one.
Leadership is messy because you are dealing with the full person. It is very rewarding at the same time. People will only follow someone who they feel that they like and can trust. When you give your employees enough room to work and show you what they can do, then and only then, will they produce extremely well. It takes trust in order to get your employees to work well.
