The Common Threads
There are two things that every human on this Earth will eventually experience. Birth and death. Yep, coming out of the gates HOT this week!
But for me, when I think about this common thread, I can’t help but feel a bit more connected to our planet and everyone on it. It reminds me that no matter how much we differ in opinions, cultures, and politics, in the end, we all FACE THE SAME FATE.
With that being said, I also believe there is another common thread that BONDS us…
The desire for a LONG, HEALTHY, HAPPY LIFE.
I mean, think about it. It’s our DESIRE for a long, healthy, happy life that leads us to make more money, create more comfort, eat better foods, work out more, serve our families, and do the myriad of other “things” that we deem important.
At the end of the day, everything we do has an underlying purpose. To make our life better (longer, healthier, happier, fulfilled-ier, fruitful-ier)
Yes?

And yet, even with all of these glaring similarities, it’s just too darn easy these days to JUDGE others and pretend like “they” are wrong. But when it comes down to it, “they” have a lot more in common with you and me than the news outlets would have us believe.
Yes, we look different on the outside. Yes, we come from different cultures, and yes, we express ourselves differently. But, even with all those differences, I believe that if we look close enough, we can always see ourselves in every human being because we all have deeply rooted, COMMON THREADS.
We were all born. We will all die. AND, we all want to be happy?
So, I guess I’m just dropping a simple reminder this week to take it easy on everyone... OURSELVES INCLUDED! We’re all working hard to create a long, happy, healthy, life and we are doing the best we can.
It will never be perfect and that’s okay. It’s supposed to be sloppy because we are all just fumbling through the dark trying to figure it out.
Just keep moving forward. Keep doing your best and remember that we are all just doing our best with what we have been given.
Here’s to your long, healthy, happy journey, my friend.
