John 14:27. Proverbs 31 (https://proverbs31.org/read/devotions/full-post/2024/01/02/finding-peace-when-life-is-out-of-control). His peace is something we must choose. When we do, we will find an everlasting peace from a God who loves us and is in control. The enemy wants to keep us from that peace, so our prayer should be for God to continually search our hearts for the things the enemy places there to bring doubt, confusion, and fear. Tenderly and compassionately, He shows us what needs to change to receive that peace fully. Choose His lasting peace.

Ecclesiastes 1:1–11. Our Daily Bread (https://odb.org/2024/01/02/the-son-also-rises). There is no hope in living for life in this world alone. In Jesus, we have our hope. Because He came from His throne as King in Heaven to die in your place for your sins so you could have forgiveness and rose again, we have the hope of eternity. He took the sting of death and the grave for you! This is His free gift to you! All you need to do to accept that gift is simply admit you are a sinner in need of Jesus the Savior, believe that He is Lord,? believe He died and rose again for those sins, and call on the name of the Lord, and confess that He is Lord and Savior of your life (Romans 10:8-13). Do you know Jesus? He is returning for those who believe soon and longs for a relationship with you. In Him, you will find true meaning, value, and purpose in life.

Galatians 6:8. Harvest (https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/lay-the-foundation-well/). Our choices lay the foundation for what happens next in our lives. As we make those choices, some become good or bad habits depending on our choice. This New Year, let’s make the best choice in choosing Jesus as Lord and Savior and lay a firm foundation in Him, studying His Word to grow closer to Him and know Him better, make Him our hope, and choose His everlasting peace.
