The Common Thread

Instead of grasping for all the gifts that others have, look for the gifts Jesus has given you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

1 John 4:15-21. Our Daily Bread (https://odb.org/2024/04/30/we-cant-out-love-god). God loves us more than we could ever love Him. It’s because of that love that we are able to love one another. While we are using the gifts Jesus has given us, let’s love others with them so they can see Jesus in us.

John 4:3–4. Harvest (https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/the-limitless-love-of-god/). Jesus gave us many examples of how to love others. Today’s Scripture shows us one of them and He shows us how to love a sinner.? He took the Gospel message to someone that no other Jew would have. Are we willing to step out of our comfort zone to bring the Gospel message to those no one else will? Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, love others so they can see Jesus in you, and take His message of salvation to those no one else will.

Do you know Jesus? He is returning soon for those who believe and longs for a relationship with you. Because He came from His throne as King in Heaven to earth to die in your place for your sins so you could have forgiveness and rose again, you have the hope of eternity. He took the sting of death and the grave for you! This is His free gift to you! All you need to do to accept that gift is simply admit you are a sinner in need of Jesus the Savior, believe that He is Lord,? believe He died and rose again for those sins, and call on the name of the Lord, and confess that He is Lord and Savior of your life (Romans 10:8-13). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Be ready for His return. Know the hope of spending eternity in Heaven.
