I would like to share with you the common problems caused by negative pressure and solutions for glass-reinforced plastic (FRP)water softener tanks. Please install and properly use the FRP water treatment tank in accordance with the standard methods to avoid damage caused by negative pressure.
Several Commonly Used Anti-negative Pressure Valve/Check Valve Devices
When the FRP water treatment tank is used, if the pipeline design is not reasonable, it will cause negative pressure in the system.
1. Negative pressure may be caused by the siphoning phenomenon if the inlet and outlet pipes or sewage pipes sink into water or sink too long.
2. The outlet pipe of the pretreatment system is directly connected to the RO pump, and the raw water quantity cannot meet the requirements of the RO system.
3. The high-pressure pump flattens the tank: if the water source in the front part of the pretreatment is cut off, no water source goes through the filter, but there is a problem in the electrical control of the rear end. Or the low-voltage switch protection is not installed before the pump (or the low-voltage switch does not work). Or the working power of the high-voltage pump of the reverse osmosis main engine is not cut off. All the above will cause no water through, and pumping air, resulting in negative pressure, suction filter tank flat.
4. The backflow of inlet water may cause negative pressure to suck the water treatment tank flat, thus a check valve should be installed! When the FRP water treatment tank is used, if the pipeline design is not reasonable, it will cause negative pressure in the system.
5. If the reverse osmosis equipment is lack of protection device, the water hammer phenomenon will occur. Means in a very short time, in a certain space,a rapid increase or decrease of water flow, velocity, and pressure of internal water cause the water hammer phenomenon.
If the FRP composite water tank is not installed with an anti-negative pressure check valve device, the damage will be easily caused.
