Even with their best efforts, many organisations aren't seeing the changes they want, especially when they're only focused on reducing the figure.?

A big reason for this is that the pay gap figure is unstable and affected by many factors, both inside and outside the organisation, like company culture, redundancies, mergers, and employees' personal choices. Because of this instability, fixating only on the pay gap figure isn't helpful and can actually be harmful.
