Common Ground
We all have thoughts and it is our right to express them in our words. Words express our personal truth and reveal our feelings and concerns.
Your thoughts and words are no greater than mine, nor are mine greater than yours. These thoughts and words have greater meaning when they are exchanged with others to find common ground and understanding.
People who’s thoughts and words lead to violence are those who deny others the right to express their views. This behavior is tyrannical and an abomination to God and mankind. Each of us are responsible for our own actions. When we resort to violence because we cannot articulate our position, then perhaps that position is based in negative thought in the first place.
It is clear that not everyone agrees with everyone. That said, we must try to listen to all rational positions of others and engage in meaningful dialog. When all is said and done, then we will be able to reach a common ground or at least agree to disagree.
