1.2 Adjusting Agent
Adjusting agents are commonly used flotation reagents in the selection of non-ferrous metals. They are a kind of flocculent and appear in a granular form. The application of adjusting agents in the selection of non-ferrous metals can reflect the effect of activators in the actual testing process. Adjusting agents can adjust the effects of other reagents and mineral surfaces, as well as adjust the properties of the slurry. There are many types of adjusting agents, and their effects are different. Some adjusting agents can promote the interaction between collectors and minerals, enhance the floatability of minerals, and are called activators. The application of collectors can effectively enhance the intensity and effectiveness of mining operations. Collectors have important value in the selection of precipitated metals, oxidized ores, and sulfide ores. For example, thio-urea, xanthate, and black powder can be used as collectors for the mining of sulfide copper ores.
