Manganese Metal Company (MMC), crystallisation and evaporation plant and sistems provider, has awarded JordProxa Africa a contract to supply with a crystalliser plant to produce battery-grade high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM) in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. This follows the engagment spanning the past few years.

Over the past nine months, there was a extensive laboratory testwork and conceptual engineering. MMC acknowledges the numeros benefits and is keen to contribute to development? of a local South African capability in HPMSM.?

The companies expect the HPMSM plant to contribute to increased local beneficiation. Crystallisation technology is integral to producing battery -grade HPMSM to meet to stringent quality for the growing electric vehicle and renewable- energy sectors.
