ABOUT THE CID

The CID ("Commodity Insights Digest", ISSN 2996-654X) is a publication of Bayes Business School, City St George's, University of London, U.K. This publication is produced in association with Chicago-based Premia Research LLC.

As noted here, the CID seeks to foster knowledge transfer between academics and practitioners by publishing:

  • Scholarly research digest articles;
  • Practitioner insights and interviews;
  • Articles on economic history; and
  • Book reviews.

Contributors to the CID include: (a) Scholars seeking to enhance the impact of their research by delving into the practical implications of their theoretical or empirical studies; (b) Consultants reporting on challenges faced by commodity market participants; and (c) Industry economists providing analyses on their areas of market expertise.

NEWS & EVENTS

We draw your attention to the calendar of academic conferences, taking place in 2025, which have a nexus to commodities, and which are summarized here.

In particular, we note the 18th International Behavioural Finance Conference in London from June 4th to June 6th, 2025. This behavioural finance conference is organized by Professors Arman Eshraghi, Gulnur Muradoglu, and Ana-Maria Fuertes.

2024 READER'S CHOICE AWARD

Congratulations to Shirui Wang, Ph.D., Independent Researcher, China and Tianyang Zhang, Ph.D., Wenlan School of Business, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, China, for their article being the most downloaded paper by CID subscribers in 2024!
