Committed to Sustainability: Orbia’s Precision Agriculture Business, Netafim Achieves SCS Recycled Content and Recycling Program Certifications

Netafim USA Netafim, Orbia 's Precision Agriculture Business, recently earned Recycled Content and Recycling Program Certifications from leading third-party certification body SCS Global Services for our 360-degree closed loop dripline recycling program. Sustainability is a top priority for Orbia, and I am proud that our company has taken the initiative to have an independent third-party verify our practices and issue us these certifications. Transparency is important and certifications lend additional credibility to our claims.

SCS Recycled Content Certification evaluates products made from pre-consumer or post-consumer materials diverted from the waste stream. This certification measures and verifies the percentage of recycled content in the product.

?In 2007, Netafim opened a dedicated facility in California to process end-of-life dripline through a proprietary process developed over the last 16 years. Achieving this certification showcases how our company collects and manufactures new products in an environmentally responsible fashion.?

Our facility transforms end-of-life drip irrigation line into renewed, high-quality dripline that is redeployed in the field with the same warranty and performance characteristics as all other material we manufacture. This renewed dripline eliminates the end-of-life driplines from filling our landfills and reduces the labor and transportation costs needed to dispose of these materials.
