COMMITTED MANAGEMENT!
COMMITTED MANAGEMENT!
Yesterday was my scheduled visit to one plant 60 km away from my house. I started early and reached on committed time. After closing the meeting at 5.30 pm, I felt highly satisfied due to the following reasons:-
1. MD and Coordinator were present in the factory on time.
2. Last week's homework completion ranging from 16 to 80%.
3. Sold 6 trucks (fully loaded) Unwanted stocks/ materials.
4. Took the decision to dispose of 4 (out of order )machines( very old machine).
5. Many metallic trolleys were taken out for dismantling and disposal.
6. Six Moulding machines are still in stoppage condition to liquidate excess and unbalanced inventory.
7. Paint procurement stopped for 2 months ( except for 1 or 2 most wanted but less stock).
8. The pull system started and FG vehicle rotations increased by 4 times.
9. Packing materials, stickers procurement also stopped for 1 month.
10. Electric wiring, localized covers on rotating spindles— works were taken as decided during the last visit.
11. Spent 30k on leakages arresting projects.
12. Few metallic almirahs, cupboards rectified to make visible from outside.
13. 22 electric motors also disposed of along with one old motorcycle and 4 metallic gates,
14. Unwanted mounds kept separately for disposal.
15. The Shadow board started for the tool room.
16.DWM boards introduced as agreed and implementation/ use of that board were visible to me.
17. 1S/2S started in office filing too.
18. Deflashing contractor replaced with a highly efficient and systematic contractor who understands a single piece flow mechanism.
19. Productivity improved by 16% in one month without any extra actions except layout change and correct 1S/2S.
20. All team members were very happy at the end of the day and greeted me very happily. They assured me to achieve 100% homework completion on time and every time.
When I was about to leave from there, MD came out from his cabin to see off me in a very smiling and happy mood. After 5 minutes of my departure, he sent me “Thank You Sir” SMS.
Yesterday was really great day for me too. I am trying to give 200% to them.
