#Commitment without Intrinsic #motivation - Know the #real you
Commitment without motivation means you are determined to take the necessary steps to work towards your goal, but you're doing so without any joy. You'll do it because you feel you have to, because you need to, but not necessarily because you want to.
Commitment ensures deliverance; whereas motivation brings the soul to the thing you deliver.
Commitment is external whereas motivation comes from within, it should be and it is natural – it is not planned or intended nor forcible – it is when you enjoying or love doing something – it is not that you are ‘concerned about a deadline’ it is ‘you are enjoying doing that so you naturally deliver before deadline’ – it is not that you feel tired due to exhaustive work done to meet deadline due to your commitment, instead it is that you feel fresh despite hard work because you did not feel that as work instead a recreation – like watching a 3 hours movie doesn’t make you tired at all even makes you fresh – whereas just listening to just 30 min course lesson may make you tired as you feel that ‘compulsive’ – not a ‘joy thing’.
Commitment is usually and in most of the cases is fulfilling something that is your need or compulsion while compromising and sacrificing the things you love – whereas motivation is fulfilling even beyond your commitment or beyond you are asked to and still without feeling to sacrifice or compromise the things you love because you are fulfilling your commitment through ‘motivation’ hence enjoying that… because you hold intrinsic motivation…
Forced unwilling commitment may make you get things delivered on time, but it may snatch the precious spirit that used to make you deliver beyond commitment always and still you would feel fresh; because earlier you were doing that through intrinsic motivation hence without feeling compromised or feeling things imposed whereas later you are doing things due to your compulsion and need – feeling lack of energy that you would earlier derive while doing work due to intrinsic motivation that used to make work as a joy.
