COMMITMENT THROUGH THE EYES OF PASSION

In a world dominated by the thirst for paychecks, I find the spirit of commitment to be an inextinguishable flame that still thrives underneath the veils of corporate ignorance. ?To me, commitment remains but a singular entity- it is a web that extends beyond the capabilities of an individual, a battle field that extends across nations. Commitment to one’s work never falls into the ignorance of selfish tendencies, but rather involves the spirit of selflessness and sacrifice- your willingness to reach into the heights of heaven or fall into the depths of hell, your sacrifice of time, money, and efforts- and ultimately, your unrelenting spirit reigning high.

I find my diligence and the need for professional commitment arising from two goals- its contribution towards my development as an individual, and in my professional capacity as a manager. My desire to undertake goal-oriented missions finds itself indispensable with my initiative to commit towards my work. I see and act much beyond my work mandated responsibilities because my commitment towards greatness demands dynamic action over inaction. It contributes just as much towards my personal life, making me an individual I take pride in being.

I would like to recall a personal story where my need for goal-oriented commitment played an unforgettable role. ??I recently undertook a trek to the highest SHIVA temple in the Himalayas, situated at a height of 12,073 ft. Legends say that this temple was one of the creations of the pandavas, and remains to be paved with one of the steepest treks. Treading along these treacherous paths, brought forward few of life’s hardest lessons- patience, strategizing, and ultimately surviving. Each fresh breath remained a luxury, each food morsel heeding to caution. My commitment towards reaching my goal- reaching the temple, no matter how large the hurdles remained, or how strenuous the journey was- remained a catalyst to my successful completion of this monumental mission. Ultimately, it taught me how commitment is my driving force.

Today, I share this story with you all with just one objective- how commitment of an employee turns into the life of an organization. Money can purchase a lot of things, but loyalty and commitment is something that transcends material boundaries. Each person carrying on an honest livelihood must wield their commitment as a spear to pierce through the hardships encountered, and the same must be recognized and appreciated by the employers. Undying commitment and loyalty of an employee remains the most valuable asset an organization can have. Without losing sight of this, let us conquer greater heights- together.
