Commit to a Power Down Ritual
A few weeks ago, I wrote about “Designing Great Transitions”.?
And I believe that it's our transitions that powerfully shape our days.
But there’s ONE particular transition that has been hardest to nail.
It’s the transition between work and time with family, and time for rest.
If you’re reading my newsletter about ‘Getting 1% Better Everyday’ — it’s quite likely that you too, find it hard to stop working each day.
But getting better at Life, requires healthy boundaries.?
And that’s what a ‘Power Down Ritual’ is all about.
Think of it as a way to tell your brain, "Work is over, and now it's time to rest.”? Because rest is more important than we’d like to think it is.
Sahil Bloom has written a really good article on how to design a Power Down Ritual.? So — I’m not going to reinvent the wheel.? Here is is.
I’ll be designing mine shortly.
More importantly — I’ll want to design one that I can easily commit to. ?
