Commissioning Excellence of Siemens MV drives at Halfaya Oil Field by MPI
MultiPower International-MPI
Energy of a start-up combined with 41 years of experience.
From March 21 to 26, MPI Company successfully executed the commissioning of Siemens MV Drives at the Halfaya Oil Field in Iraq's Maysan Governorate. The drives, dormant for over two years without prior installation or energization, required a meticulous approach to ensure operational readiness. Our team harnessed cutting-edge techniques, including the use of a 3-phase variac for precise drive reforming, operating at 0-750 V and 5 or 6 KVA, to rejuvenate these critical systems.
?
?? Service Highlights:
Our expert team conducted thorough external and internal inspections, gathering detailed information on the drives and their components, while also evaluating the site conditions to ensure a seamless commissioning process. We meticulously inspected power sources, internal VFD connections, and all associated wiring, including grounding, transformer cabinets, medium voltage inputs, motor outputs, and control systems.
?
Furthermore, we performed phase sequence verification, applied control power, verified blower controls, and set up the control systems with precision. Comprehensive motor data was recorded, and every power cell underwent reforming to ensure peak performance. This rigorous process culminated in the final verification of control power, ensuring the drives were optimally prepared for safe and efficient operation.
?
Through our dedication to excellence and innovation, MPI Company ensured that the Siemens MV Drives were not only commissioned but also fortified for long-term reliability and performance in one of Iraq’s most vital oil fields.
