Commercialization of the food industry, and its link to our health !!!

People today are highly engaged in following a proper diet and doing plenty of exercises as a part of their Weight loss program. Why is weight loss such a big problem, why don't we have a concrete plan to fight obesity, why are people failing to achieve weight loss despite all the efforts made.

Spent my time on research about this topic enables me to make a statement. We cannot just blame it all on “You’re eating too much,” or “You’re not exercising,” or “You’re getting old.”

In India, due to the commercialization of the food industry, we feed hormones to our cows, chickens and other animals. Even farm raised fish are fed hormones.

We consume milk, chicken, meat etc..isn't it possible that some of the residue from the hormones could invade into our body? If the hormones can cause the chicken and ducks and fishes to look like a football, isn't it possible that our body could also turn towards football, given the amount of hormones entering our body through our food sources.

Due to the presence of hormones in our food supply, we are seeing girls develop larger breasts and start their menstrual cycles at an increasingly younger age. Young boys are even developing extra breast tissue. This alone tells us that estrogen levels must be higher.

And I have observed women gaining weight when they go on the birth-control pill or on hormone replacement therapy—again more estrogen. Estrogen makes the fat layer around a female body. Fat cells also produce estrogen. Estrogen can inhibit thyroid and liver function.

Organic remains the only choice we have to be able to sustain in life.
