Commercial Vehicles - Types of Insurance
There are 4 types of commercial vehicles to be insured:
- Goods carrying vehicles (small vans and trucks)
- Carriage of Passengers (taxis)
- Passenger Carrying Vehicles (busses and minibuses)
- Agriculture and Forestry Vehicles
- Vehicle of special constructions (ambulances - cranes)
Some forms of cover for Third Party policies are as follows:
- Unlimited cover for death or injury to third parties
- Loading / Unloading
- Indemnity to Drivers (Legal actions against driver)
- Indemnity to User and Indemnity to Passenger
- Legal Costs, medical expenses and PA
- Windscreen cover and loss of use
Some exclusions involve damages to goods (that should be covered under good in transit policies) and personal effects.
