Commercial Solutions: Reflections on 2024

As another year draws to a close, it seems appropriate to reflect for a moment on the last 12 months and to look forward to 2025.

At Smart, 2024 saw the introduction of our Commercial Solutions division and with it a renewed focus on our work with architects, developers and contractors as we continue to expand our systems portfolio into more and more new build and refurbishment projects, across both the public and private sectors.

We’ve seen the popularity of our Heritage systems continue to grow, with our established Alitherm Heritage range of windows and doors boosted by the recent additions of Alitherm 400 and Alitherm Heritage 60 which continue to gather real momentum, with both being specified across a wide range of sectors and applications. We’ve also seen significant growth in our AluSpace internal screening system, not just for office refurbishment projects, but also for residential use. The New Year will see even more Heritage products being launched – we will bring you more news early in 2025.

Among our completed projects this year is the refurbishment of the Barnet Council’s Graham Park Estate, which saw more than 1,500 of our highly energy-efficient EcoFutural windows coupled together across five housing blocks, with louvres fitted to the heads of the windows to provide ventilation throughout.

For the projects we have delivered this year, products have been specified from across our complete portfolio, including from our Alitherm Heritage and part-L compliant Alitherm 400 ranges as well as our high performance Visotherm window and door system.

Experienced sales, service and support team

Our experienced Commercial Solutions team includes both field and office based professionals, working closely to provide a complete, end-to-end service for architects, and customers who work with architects. This spans the complete design and specification process, with our technical, product and design experts able to offer advice and support at every stage of the process, from initial designs right through to construction.
