It has been a tough couple of years for investors and commercial real estate investment brokers. It appears the environment is beginning to lift off again - not where it left off in during the heady days of 2014, but there is movement. Currently, investors are most interested in income producing assets - in any segment of the market.

At our boutique investment brokerage, we have "DONE" a variety of transactions of late including: a large retail single tenant project along Barlow, development land along Macleod Trail, and an owner user retail/office property in the Beltline area. Our numbers for our firm have been pretty good considering the overall environment of Vendor's holding tightly on to their real estate, and buyers hoovering "waiting" for shoes to drop on pricing! That isn't happening, at least not what Barry Commercial is experiencing from the front line sales perspective. Perhaps moving into 2018, Vendor's will begin to cull some of their assets (certainly would be thrilled to provide those investors with our unique marketing platform to assist them).....
