Commercial Graphic Specialist 10West Invests in Kongsberg C24 Edge to Solve "Need for Speed"
10West, a specialist large format and commercial graphic printer, has invested in Kongsberg technology to address the growing client demand for 'more, better, and faster'.
The Oshawa, Ontario-based company has acquired the Kongsberg C24 Edge digital cutting solution, as well as a slew of innovation tooling choices, in order to increase production speed and keep up with the growing amount of quicker turnaround tasks.
"We started out as vehicle wrap pioneers in the early nineties, but over the last thirty years we have grown to become a successful large format printing and national vehicle wrap company," revealed Rob Tenwesten, brand specialist and owner of 10West. "As we continue to expand and attract an increasing volume of work, ranging from advertising graphics and wraps to display vinyls, it became clear that we simply needed to cut faster." The added speed of the Kongsberg allows us to satisfy our clients' needs while preserving our reputation for quality, as well as extend our product selection and offer new services."
The Kongsberg C24 Edge, with its high speed of 75m/min and 1G acceleration, delivers the same legendary performances as its C Series stablemates, made possible by cutting edge engineering.
"This cutting table utlizes aerospace technology, combining an aluminum composite tabletop, rack and pinion drive system, and dynamic table mapping for the greatest cutting accuracy and consistency," stated Vince Tuccitto, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems Territory Sales Manager for Eastern Canada. Importantly for Rob and the 10West team, the C24 Edge is designed to expand as a firm grows, and it can be quickly updated in terma of both speed and acceleration as well as a wide range of tooling options to ensure it can handle any job."
